LA CROSSE, WI – The company was great, the beverages were cold, and the music was rocking all summer long at Copeland Park & Events Center’s Altra Rocks II Summer Concert Series! Over 11,000 fans attended the summer series, continuing to break attendance records for the concert venue and thus raising over $11,000 for local educational scholarships through the Altra Foundation.

After the successful first installment of the Altra Rocks Summer Concert Series in 2023, it was clear to Copeland Events and Altra Federal Credit Union that fans wanted rock concerts at the ballpark. Building on the previous summer, the two collaborated to build another three-part summer concert series.

“Copeland Park & Events Center has been a great partner for the Altra Rocks Summer Concert Series”, stated Steve Koenen, President and CEO, Altra Federal Credit Union. “It provides us the opportunity to raise much needed funds for scholarships and bring some quality rock bands to perform in our community. As a rock music fan myself, I can say I have been very impressed with Copeland Events as a host, the bands they have brought in, and the fans for showing up and supporting the venue and our Concert Series.”

As the winter months went on, Copeland Park & Events Center worked to build another unforgettable summer. Announcing shows throughout the spring, fans were eager to get back out to the ballpark for some live music.

The summer kicked off on Saturday, May 4th with Act I and the largest lineup: Seether, Skillet, Fuel, 10 Years, and Keith Wallen. It was a special moment when Fuel took the stage as their lead singer Aaron Scott is from the area, and this was his first time with the group in Wisconsin.

Act II on Saturday, August 3rd was the biggest show yet as Bush – Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour brought over 5,000 people to the venue. Special guests for the tour stop included Jerry Cantrell, Candlebox, and Tim Montana.

As the summer weather held on, there was time for one more show! The series wrapped up with Act III on Saturday, September 14th as Highly Suspect, Des Rocs, and Dead Poet Society took the stage to deliver incredible performances.

With fans traveling from around the midwest and throughout the country, the Altra Rocks II Summer Concert Series brought a second year of record breaking attendances and memorable nights at the ballpark. Looking ahead to 2025, Copeland Events is already building out another event filled summer. For now, Rock On!
